Amount of investment: 92.6 million Euros (first stage)

The project’s principal aim is to gradually reduce total volumes of generated waste to minimum levels, thereby avoiding negative impact on the environment and human health; today waste is sent to dumps or sanitary landfills. This new revolutionary system includes all the stages of the process, beginning with proper selection, collection, treatment, recycling and energy assessment to generate electricity and heat and to produce organic fertilizers. Only the inert unrecyclable waste that has no value will be sent to the landfill centers, although at later stages studies could be conducted to find uses for this inert portion of waste.
